The Monica Saunders Trophy

The Monica Saunders Award / The Don Leech Tankard

The Monica Saunders award is given each quarter to the Association which has provided the best article for the newsletter, Home from Home. 

​

The award is £50, and the winner is decided by a secret vote by committee members.

The trophy is awarded annually to the best of that year’s four winners, who also receive an additional £50. 

​

The Don Leech tankard is awarded to the individual person or persons who wrote the winning article.

The Monica Saunders trophy for the best newsletter article 2024-25 was won by Bampton

The Don Leech tankard was presented to Claire Benton at the AGM, who recieved it on behalf of Bruce Benton, the author of the winning article.

The Don Leech tankard was presented jointly to Ken Priest, Andrew Winter and Lorna Scudder, the authors of the 2 articles.
